True Freedom
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk showing your true self.
To place your ideas and your dreams before a crowd, is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk despair, and to try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken, because the greatest risk in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.
Chained by things that are certain, he is a slave.
He has forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.

To All Our Parish Family
Thank You again for the great work you do for our Parish throughout the year. The Friars of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel sincerely thanks everyone for their participation in making our 90th Italian Festival a success!!! We again had a great event that can only be accomplished with your help.
On a beautiful day, the procession was well received, with many blessings in return. Seeing everyone out in front of their homes receiving us as we went by, was very humbling. Your support, kindness, and generosity are greatly appreciated.
The love you show for Our Lady of Mount Carmel truly shows throughout community. It is through people like you that we are able to continue to be a vibrant, active parish for the people of God, in our neighborhoods and around the world.
We thank our chairpersons, Frank D’Onofrio and Holly for their sacrifice of time and energy to assure everything is in place to have a successful function each year. Also, thank you to Maria Belmonte and her family for the wonderful food they prepare in the Villa each year. May God bless you and your families for all that you do.
May your love for Our Lady of Mount Carmel continue to grow as we all strive for holiness. May our Lord bless you, and may His Holy Mother, Our Lady of Mount Carmel be with you each day and shower you with many Blessings and Graces!!!
Always,
Fr. Richard, Friars, and Sisters Of OLMC School
